Janice M. (Winegardner) Mason, 71, Paulding, died at 2:07 a.m. Wednesday. May 10, 2017 at Defiance Regional Hospital. She was born November 20, 1945, in Lima, Ohio. Her parents, Lewis and Bette (Commers) Winegardner preceded her in death. She married Roy Mason Jr. on July 31, 1964. Janice was a housewife and loving mother of three children Julie (Mason) McGough, Scott Mason and Roy Mason III. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Eric Mason, Brett Mason, Brandon McGough, Kaytie Mason, Kendra Mason, Alisha Mason, Derek Mason and three great grandchildren Jordan Kent, Jackson McGough and Kayden Kepler. Janice has three siblings: Randy (Dee) Winegardner, Mark Winegardner and Cheryl (Bob) Carnahan. She was a member of the Defiance Eagles and the Defiance Moose Lodge. Her funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017 at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in Junction, 18922 County Road 1005 Defiance, OH. Visitation will be Sunday night from 7-9 p.m. at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance and 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church, prior to her services.
