Janet Marie McCloud, 52, of Defiance, passed away on  October 31, 2014 at the Defiance Regional Medical Center.

She was born on October 29, 1962 to Bernard & Ann (Carman) Ryan in Defiance, OH. She graduated from Tinora High School in 1981 and attended the University of Toledo majoring in nursing. Janet formerly worked for Defiance Metal Products. On  September 6, 1986 she married Gary McCloud who preceded her in death on April 6, 2011.

She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Defiance enjoyed spending time with her daughter and walking.

Janet is survived by her daughter Grace Ann McCloud, her father, and four sisters, Colleen Sewell of Toledo, Maureen Ryan of Northville, MI, Amy Ryan of Bradington, FL, and Mollie (Eric) Elliot of West Mansfield, OH, as well as 7 nieces & nephews, Ben, Aubrey, Emma, Casey, Joe, Briar & Justin.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 1:30 pm to 4:00  pm at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.

Memorial services will also be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with Preacher Lonnie Musgrave officiating.
