Jane A. Boehm, 86, of Defiance, passed away on  Friday, September 2, 2016 at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, Ohio.

She was born on September 24, 1929 to Elwyn and Alice (Winsper) Thomas in Cleveland, Ohio.  On August 27, 1949  she married Robert B. Boehm, who preceded her in death on January 8, 2007.

Jane was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Jane started  the Ark Preschool at the church, and was the director for several years.

Jane will be sadly missed by her son, Thomas Boehm of Toledo, daughters, Elizabeth (Donald) Hileman of Defiance, Jennifer (Robert) Gaglianello of Little Silver, NJ,  and  Alicia (Rudy) Tucker of Mananass, Virginia, 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by  her parents, husband, Robert B. Boehm, and sister, Gwynne Knobel.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with Pastor Joe Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
