James Allen "Jim" Hageman, age 92 of Defiance, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday evening, November 21, 2022 at Kingsbury Place in Defiance, Ohio. He was born on June 7, 1930 to the late Oliver and Nola (Woodward) Hageman in Wauseon, Ohio. Jim was a 1948 graduate of Wauseon High School. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. On September 2, 1950 he married Joyce (Lillich) Hageman, who survives.

Jim worked for several years at ANR Pipeline until his retirement. He enjoyed camping and traveling, and loved spending his winter months in Yuma, Arizona. James will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 72 years, Joyce Hageman of Defiance, his daughter, Toni (Gary) Borchardt of Castalia, OH, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Scott Hageman, daughter, Teri Hageman, and his brother, John Hageman. There will be no visitation or services. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church.
