James Michael Brown, 69, of Defiance, passed away on January 25, 2013 at the Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center,
Defiance, OH.

He was born on May 16, 1943 to Anderson Alexander Brown and Mosella (Sumner) House in Indianapolis, IN. He attended
school at Crispus Attucks. James worked for Indy Lighting and Kroger Bakery in Indianapolis and Johns Manville in Defiance.
James is survived by his loving spouse of 48 years Peggy A. (Collins) Brown, mother Mosella House and son Michael
Jeffery Brown, of Defiance, OH. granddaughters Brittney Morrow, Ciara Stovall, & McKayla Brown and great-granddaughter, Amyah Pipes all of Indianapolis, IN. Sisters Beverly Hall of Kokomo, IN, Janice Brown, and brother, Dennis Weeden of Indianapolis, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Anderson Alexander Brown, son, Timothy David Brown, & brother, Larry Harrison Brown.

Visitation in Defiance is Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home Inc., Defiance, OH. Visitation in Indianapolis, IN is Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 9:00 am-11:00 am at Crown Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral services will begin at 11 am with burial immediately following at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Minister Glenn Collins will officiate.
