James H. "Jim" Blosser Jr., 66, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at his residence.
He was born on December 27, 1959 to the late James and Patricia (Brehm) Blosser in Rome, New York. James is a proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
James worked for over 25 years as a Foreman at Johns Manville until his retirement and had an extraordinary work ethic. He was a Charter Member of West Ohio Iron Coffins MC, and loved riding his motorcycles. He also enjoyed working on cars and guns, hunting, being outdoors, and collecting silver. James will always be remembered and sadly missed by his family and many good friends.
James is survived by three daughters, Lindsay (Evan) Dietsch, Mallory (Josh) Straka, and Emiley Blosser, and his grandchildren whom he adored, Kinley, Brody, Whitney, Izzy and Kira. He also leaves behind his brothers, Brad (Lanette) Brehm and Chris Blosser, and sisters, Pam (Todd) Moody and Paula (Danny) Markley. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew Josh Ginoza.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Thomas Ordway officiating. James will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the family, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
