Obituary

Jacqueline Jane Haworth, 94, of Defiance, passed away on  Friday, October 7, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance.

She was born on November 15, 1921 to John and Agnes (Hupert) Roller in Tiffin, Ohio.  Jacqueline was a 1939 Graduate of St. Rose High School in Lima. On November 22, 1941 she married William Haworth who preceded her in death on February 23, 2009.  She was a homemaker and loving wife and mother.  Jacqueline was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, Fort Defiance Humane Society, and former member of the Garden Club and Orchid Society both in Palm Coast, Florida. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, painting, baking and reading, and was an avid pet lover.

Jacqueline will be missed by her loving daughters, Elaine (Harvey) Ostrander of Defiance and Rachel Fitzenrider of Bridgeport, Michigan, seven grandchildren, Liesl Fitzenrider (Heather Christensen), Grethen (Steve) Clark, Derek Wagner, Chung (Yukiko) Ostrander, Rina (Robert) Watt, Amanda (Jason) Borders, and Jason (Lesley) Ostrander, 13 great-grandchildren, cousin Diann Frendt, special friends Stephanie Wagner and Kourtney Lindeman, and her constant companion "Goldie" the cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Haworth, and brother Kenneth Roller.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October12, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, where a Vigil Service will be held at 2:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 13, 2016  at St. John Catholic Church in Defiance, with Fr. Eric Mueller officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.

Memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, or Fort Defiance Humane Society.
