Jacqueline Sue "Jackie" Horvath, age 79, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.

Jackie was born in Warren, Ohio on July 15, 1947 to the late George and Nancy (James) Edmunds. She was married to Frank Horvath who passed away. She worked as a bookkeeper for The United Way of Defiance for several years. Jackie was a kind and private person and spent her leisure time at home on her Kindle.

Jackie will be sadly missed by her stepdaughter, Mary Horvath of Florida, and her sister, Bobbie Wirt of Defiance.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Edmunds.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, Ohio.
