Obituary

Jack Seibel "Jack" Charles F. Seibel, 85, of Defiance, passed away Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance Emergency Room. He was born in Defiance, Ohio on August 28, 1928, he was the son of the late Charles K. and Mary (Klein) Seibel. Jack was employed at G.M. Central foundry for 36 years, retiring in 1986. He married Betty (Porter) Seibel Oct. 3, 1958. He was a Navy veteran, a life member of VFW Post #3360 and a life member of the Defiance Elks. Jack enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and attended First Presbyterian Church. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Betty, two sons: John Seibel of Columbia, Maryland, James (Kris) Seibel of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. a sister: Jeanne Wallace of Richmond, VA five grandchildren; Alex, Nick, Zachary, Cole and Alexa Seibel. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 in the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Lawson-Roessner. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery where VFW Post #3360 will conduct honorary military graveside rites. The family suggests memorials to the Defiance Fire Dept. or First Presbyterian Church Condolences to the family may be shared at www.lawsonroessner.com.
