Obituary

Jack Duane Adams, 81, of Defiance, passed away on November 27, 2013 at the Laurels of Norworth in Worthington, Ohio.
-
He was born on February 10, 1932 to Lawrence (Edna) Adams in New Bavaria, Ohio. On September 23, 1952 he married Zora Mae Culler in Angola, IN. Jack and Zora lived in Defiance, Ohio.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Jack is survived by his son, Bruce (Lisa Callander-Adams) Adams of Worthington, OH, Sister-in-laws, Shirley McDougle, Pauline Cromley, Marilyn Smith and Marie Culler of Defiance, OH, and his sister, Betty (Herman) Gerken of Defiance, OH, Grandchildren, Emily & Samuel Adams, many Nieces & nephews and friends, including his beloved "pupper" Missy, the miniature poodle.

He was preceded in death in May, 2013 by his loving wife, Zora Mae Adams.
Jack owned and operated Jack's Bicycle Center in Defiance, Ohio from 1968-1995. Jack served in the United States Air Force. Jack enjoyed tinkering, especially with bicycles. He was an accomplished photographer, and was known for his flowing sense of humor.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family, teaching his grandchildren how to play golf and baseball, storytelling and fishing. For those folks passing by his home while traveling Harris Road, Jack was waving at everyone, like a Harris Road Greeter. He will be missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 06, 2013 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013, 1:00 pm at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Rev. Marshal Fry, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Ayersville Cemetery.
