Holly Karcher, 47, of Defiance, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loved ones on August 14, 2026 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.
She was born on March 8, 1979 to Gerald "Jerry" and Ann (Hohenberger) Linebrink in Van Wert, OH. She was a 1997 graduate of Defiance High School. Holly was the manager at Huntington Bank in Wauseon and Kalida. On March 29, 2013 she married Don Karcher, who survives.
Holly's life was filled doing everything she wanted. It was usually her way or her way. She was fun loving and down to earth but also stubborn and hard headed. Holly loved to travel with her husband and her children/family. Her favorite spots included Maggie Valley NC and the beaches. There normally wasn't a place that she said no to. She had a habit of being a "collector." Since thrifting was one of Holly's hobbies she loved, she had quite the collection of just a little bit of everything. She had a heart of gold. Her love for connection spread to everyone surrounding her. Holly didn't do anything quietly, she put her whole being into everything she did. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend.
Holly is survived by her loving spouse, Don Karcher; children, Angela (Ryan) Goff, Tyler York, and Lillian York; step-sons, Emerson and Evan Karcher; granddaughters, Lynn and Adelina Olah; and mother, Ann Linebrink.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Linebrink.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street). A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm, with Rev. Brent Gibson, officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Ladies Conquering Cancer Gala or J.A.R.- Justice Animal Rescue.
