Helene Genevieve Jaskolski, 89, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on April 23, 1924 to Peter and Frances (Gojlewicz) Szyszkoski in Camden, NJ.

On August 26, 1944 she married John J. Jaskolski and he survives.

She is survived by her loving spouse of 68 years, John, son, John E (Kathie) Jaskolski of Whitehouse,  daughters, Bonnie (Tony) Davis of Defiance,  Janet (Stephen) Baden of Sherwood, Loraine (Andrew) Robinett of Bryan,  Michele Jaskolski of Virginia Beach, VA, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents,  brother, Matthew Shaffer and  sister, Isabelle Crean.

Helene was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a devoted wife and mother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Randy Giesige officiating.  Entombment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.

Family will receive friends on Friday at the church one hour prior to the service starting at 10:30am.

The family suggest memorials be given to Holy Cross Schools.
