Helen C. Rosebrock, 95, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, March 31, 2014 at Glenn Park of Defiance.

She was born on October 29, 1918 to George and Erna (Cohrs) Hogrefe in Henry County, OH.  On July 31, 1941 she married Richard Rosebrock and he passed away on February 10, 1980.

Helen was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church.  She worked at SK Tools, Defiance and assisted her husband  with his photography business for over 25 years in the days before color photography - she oil colored the photos. Helen loved gardening, working in her flower beds and sewing.

Helen is survived by her son, Gary (Terry) Rosebrock of Ney,  daughters, Darla (Michael) Gerken of Defiance, Lynn (Charles) Whiteford of Defiance, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister, Bernita Norden of Ridgeville Corners, sisters-in-law, Leona Hogrefe of Okolona and Norma Hogrefe of Ridgeville Corners.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard, brothers, Raymond, Harvey and Martin Hogrefe.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 3,  2014 at Schaffer Funeral  Home with Pastor Timothy G. Reynolds officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.  Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to Zion's Lutheran Church.
