Helen Jean Weigandt (née Fuller) passed on her 89th birthday, April 10th 2023, in her home surrounded by family. Born in Hartsburg, Ohio Helen grew up in Oakwood and was a proud graduate of Oakwood HS. Helen is preceded by her beloved parents- Harry and Marie, the owners of Fuller's Nursery, and her sister Judy Figley.

Helen took great pride in her family and leaves behind one son, Michael Weigandt and daughter-in-law Carol in Ohio, and one daughter, Patricia Thompson and son-in-law Randy in California. Helen also leaves behind three beloved granddaughters - Jessica, Jennifer, Amber and one great-granddaughter Claire.

Helen was a professional folk artist with a career spanning over 35 years and sold her art across multiple states and in Mexico City. Family and friends remember Helen for her strength of will, kindness, curiosity and love of nature.

Her funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12 noon at the Schaffer Funeral Home with Pastor Richard "Bud" Larimore.  There will be visitation from 10:00am until the time of service on Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
