Heather A. Ward, age 39 of Defiance, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in Indiana. She was born on January 31, 1985 to Scott Ward and Robin Temple in Defiance, Ohio. Heather was a 2003 graduate of Tinora High School, and earned her Associate's Degree from Northwest State Community College in 2008. She worked at Therma-Tru for five years. Heather enjoyed camping, cooking, listening to music, loved collecting "Stitch" figurines, and above all taking care of her children. She will be greatly missed by her family and many good friends. Heather is survived by her mother, Robin Temple, father, Scott Ward, her children, Eric (Megan Morris) Lichtenwald, Ethan Lichtenwald, and Jenna Lichtenwald, all of Defiance, her Fiancé, Darrell Robbins of Defiance, and siblings, Amanda, Kyle, David, A.J. and Audrey. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jack Temple, and grandmother, Barb Dailey. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.
