Hazel M Yaros, 83, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center. She was born on October 16, 1929 to Elmer and Della Mae (Doman) Mounts in Buffalo Twp, PA. She married Robert E. "Bob" Yaros on April 29, 1951 and he survives. Also surviving her are her children, Robert F. "Bob" (Kathy) Yaros of Toledo, OH, Steven A (Janet) Yaros of Defiance, OH, grandchildren, Michelle (Shawn) Gray of Charlotte, NC, Stacey (Ben) Bigelow of Toledo, OH, Anthony (Tevie) Yaros of Butler, IN, Robert L Yaros of Toledo, OH, 8 great grandchildren, brother, Harry E (Marian) Mounts of Washington, PA, and a sister, Betty Powell of Claysville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Barbara Ann Yaros, brothers, M. Abe Mounts, Leo Mounts, sisters, E. Irene Davidson, Ida Caldwell, Lucille Barney and an infant sister.

Hazel was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the VFW #3360 Ladies'Auxiliary. She worked at Montgomery Ward and JC Penny in PA; upon moving to Defiance she began a career with the Defiance Hospital in the Pharmacy Department before moving into the Billing Department retiring in 1995.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 06, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm; and on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 9-10:30 am at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio . A vigil service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012, at 11:00 am at St. John Catholic Church with Father Todd Dominique officiating.

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
