Harold E. Maccubbin, III, 69, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Mercy Defiance Hospital. He was born on October 25, 1949 to the late Harold and Ruth (Griffiths) Maccubbin in New York City, Columbia Medical Center. Harold earned his Bachelor's Degree from The Defiance College. In June 1975 he married Nickola (Brandon) Maccubbin, who resides in Defiance. Harold worked at General Motors for over 35 years until his retirement. He earned his Eagle Scout Award, and worked with Boy Scout Troop #76. In his leisure time he enjoyed photography and traveling. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Nickola Maccubbin, son, Christopher Maccubbin, brother, Kenneth Maccubbin, sister, Sue Maccubbin, and nieces and nephews; Mindy Brandon, Shawn Brandon, Sara Adkins, Josh Brandon, Jeff Brandon, Kristin Maccubbin, and Matt Maccubbin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A private burial will be held at a later date.
