Obituary

Harold A. Grossheim Harold A. Grossheim, 81, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, December 7th, 2013 at the St. Vincent Medical Heart & Vascular Center in Toledo. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Albert and Helen (Schlichting) Grossheim. Harold was a member of St. John Catholic Church where he was a long time usher. He was a volunteer member of the South Richland Fire Department and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was currently working at NAPA in Defiance and had previously worked at the Compo Co. He married Beatrice Arend in 1977 and she survives. Also surviving are five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie (Peters) Grossheim, a son and daughter who died in infancy and a brother Herbert Grossheim. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. John Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10th, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Friends are invited to call Monday 2-4 & 6-8 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. A vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Suggested memorial are to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be shared at www.defiancefuneralhome.com.
