Gwendolyn E "Red" Fiig, 74  of Defiance, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday evening August 17, 2013.

She was born April 12, 1939 in Edgerton, Ohio and was the daughter of Rupert and Gladys (Gallant) Fiig.

Gwendolyn is survived by a daughter Deanne "Dee" Johnson of Defiance, grandson Shane (Christy) Johnson of Defiance, 6 great granddaughters; Shyann, Stefany, Sierra, Saleen, Saige & Chevelle Johnson, a great grandson Brandon, two sisters; Sharon Siler of Delphos, Ohio and Donna Perry of Convoy, Ohio and survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Beverly Burt.

Red worked for the Greyhound Bus Lines/City Taxi of Defiance for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 2 to 8pm in the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.

Funeral service for Gwendolyn will be Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00AM in the funeral home with Rev. Paul Myers officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
