Guadelupe Basquez Guadelupe Basquez, age 95, of Oakwood, Oh , passed away at 12:00 A:M , Thursday, March 26th, 2009 at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance, Oh. She was born in Killeen, Texas on November 12, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria A. (Rodriquez) Garza She attended St. John's and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Defiance. She married Guadelupe "Lupe" Basquez on Nov. 6, 1937 and he died May 26, 1994. She lived in Defiance since 1947 and was a homemaker. Surviving are 2 daughters: Frances Roddy of Defiance and Mary Hernandez of Kaufman, Texas, a son: Philip Basquez of Oakwood. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter Janie Alvarado, a brother Pedro Rodriquez, two sisters: Luz Guzman and Juana Ramirez.. Service at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 10:00 A:M on Saturday, March 28th, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Friends are invited to call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. where there will be a 7:15 P:M Vigil Service Friday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
