Grace Ballreich Newland, 86, of Ney, passed away on  Monday, June 3, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on October 6, 1926 to Jacob and Linda (Gillespie) Ballreich in Zanesville, OH.

Grace was a sales clerk at various retail and insurance establishments.

She is survived by her beloved Labrador, Hannah, daughters, Rexanna (Richard) Sorg of Ney, Jean Newland of Ney, Kay, sister-in-law, Thelma Ballreich of Defiance, 7 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Kenneth Ballreich, Richard "Dick" Ballreich, Genevieve Ballreich-Anderson, half-siblings, Maurice Metcalfe, Art Metcalfe, Rex Metcalfe, Clarence Metcalf, Carl Metcalfe, Beryl Metcalfe and Helen Metcalfe.

A celebration of Grace's Life will be held at 06199 Flickinger Road, Ney, Ohio, on Saturday, June 22th, 2013 at 6:00 pm. Please come share your memories, and enjoy some of Grace's favorite deserts.

The family suggest memorials be made to NW Ohio Hospice, Alzheimer's Association or to the Defiance Senior Center.
