Glenna J Cooper, 85, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance.

She was born on October 23, 1929 to John and Amy (Troyer) Holt in Bluffton, Ohio. On November 10, 1951 she married Wayne W. Cooper.

Glenna was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Defiance. She was formerly a member and taught Sunday School at the Evangelical Methodist Church in Defiance. Glenna worked at Woolworths Department Store in Defiance and The Cannery in Paulding. Glenna enjoyed gardening.

Glenna is survived by her loving spouse Wayne, sons, David (Arlene) Cooper, and Mark Cooper, both of Defiance, Mitchell (Anita) Cooper of Bryan, 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Amy Holt, brothers, Willis Holt, Clyde Holt, and Homer Holt, sisters, Luella McVay and Mary Rhodes.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, and  from 10:00 to 11:00 am at 1st Baptist Church, Defiance.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014, 11:00 am at 1st Baptist Church, Defiance, with Rev. Tim Yazel officiating.

Burial will take place in the Poplar Ridge Cemetery, Adams Township.
