Glen D Bell, 62, of Defiance, formerly of Swartz Creek, MI, passed away after a short illness surrounded by his family on  Monday, October 8, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on September 26, 1950 to Asa and Joyce (Houghton) Bell in Flint, MI. He married Sherryl Myers on July 31, 1970 in Flint, MI. and she survives. He is also survived his son, Michael Bell of St. Clair Shores, MI, grandchildren, Justize Bell of St. Clair Shores, MI,  Nevaeh, Zaylen & Devaun Bell of Watauga, TX, brother, Arnie (Heike) Hayes of Fenton, MI, 7 nieces and nephews, sister-in-laws, Sherry (Terry) Maitland,  Sandy (Dave) Jones, brother-in-law, Gary (Mary) Myers, special friends, Mersed & Irene Garcia of St. Cloud, FL.  He was preceded by his parents and brothers, David Bell and Howard Hayes.

Glen worked for GM retiring July 31, 2012.  He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Seoul, South Korea.  He enjoyed watching football, baseball and was a big NASCAR fan.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Michael Donnally officiating.  Military rites be the VFW Post 3360.
