Glecia (Nix) Forrester Glecia Susan (Nix) Forrester, 58, of Bryan, passed away Thursday, July 14th, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, with her brother Mike at her side. She was born in Adrian, Michigan on March 4, 1958. Glecia was the daughter of the late John L. Nix and Nellie (Lewis) Nix, who survives. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Defiance, where she grew up singing in the church choir. Glecia held many jobs during her lifetime and was a well-respected hard worker. She worked at Olan Mills as a print consultant, a line worker at the factory A-Stamp in Bryan, as well as a waitress at Lester's Diner. She was also a stay at home mother for many years, caring for her oldest daughter. Glecia enjoyed flower gardening and spending quality time with family. She was an avid cat lover, who cared for many during her years. Glecia was a graduate of the 1977 class at Ayersville High School. Glecia will be sadly missed by her mother Nellie (Lewis) Nix of Bryan, her daughters, Jasmine Forrester of Indianapolis and Sierra Foulk of Bryan, and her brother, Mike Nix, of Defiance. She will also be remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father John L. Nix in 1998. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2016, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 29013 Blanchard Rd, Defiance, with visitation beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow at the Ayersville Cemetery. Visitation is this Sunday, July 17, 2016, from 2-4p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, 1753 S. Clinton St, Defiance.
