Gertrude M. Lenhart Gertrude "Trudi" M. Lenhart, 97, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at the Odyssey Hospice in Palm Desert, California. She was born in Paulding County, OH on December 8, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Teresa G. (Kelly) Fisher. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Trudi married Francis G. "Hap" Lenhart, November 26, 1936 and he died April 7 2003. Hap and Trudi both died on April 7. She was a 1929 graduate of St. John's Commercial High School. Secretary to Palmer & Diehl, Attorneys at Law 1930 to 1936. Deputy Clerk of Courts, 1936 to 1942. Official Court Reporter, Defiance County ,1942 to 1964. Trudi was the Past President of the following: Defiance County Women's Democratic Club, Defiance Business and Professional Women's Club, Defiance Ladies Bowling Association, Twin Rivers Garden Club, Young Ladies Sodality of St. John's Catholic, Defiance Deanery of the Toledo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and their Treasurer. She was also a life member of the Defiance Hospital Auxiliary She will be missed by her sisters: Madonna Blair of Yucca Valley, California, Penny Krutsch of Lapeer, Mich. brother: Leo Fisher of Tucson, Arizona, nieces and nephews and her special care givers: Cindy Adams of Oakwood, Debbie Slusser of Defiance,Patricia Bohn of Defiance, Connie Kerrof Defiance and JoAnn Bennett of Paulding. Preceded in death by her husband and a sister: Sister Mary Cecilia Fisher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Dave Tscherne and Father Robert Kill officiating. Entombment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 5-8 Tuesday, April 17 in Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a rosary service at 6:30.
