Gerilyn Nasaria Farmer, 24, of Defiance, suddenly passed away on  Saturday, June 23, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio due to  complications from Type I Diabetes. She was born on November 10, 1993 to Grace (Lopez) Van Scoder and the late Gerald Farmer in Toledo. Gerilyn enjoyed music, and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was being with her son. Gerilyn will be dearly missed by her family and so many that loved her.

Gerilyn is survived by her mother, Grace (Robert) Van Scoder, her son, Josiah D. Farmer, and brother, Daniel R. Farmer, all of Defiance, and grandparents, Gilbert and Nasaria Lopez. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Farmer, and grandparents, Sharon and Harry Farmer. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Memorials are suggested to the family .
