Geraldine M. Gutman Geraldine M. Gutman, 86, of Defiance, passed Sunday morning, December 6th, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Ft. Wayne. She was born in Defiance, Ohio on March 6, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius 'Hap" and Agnes (Hurtt) Coressel. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and had worked in Central Supply at Defiance Hospital. She will be missed by her daughters: Lori (Dan) Bauer of Defiance, Melody (David) Page of Ft. Wayne, son: Tim (Charlotte) Hesselschwardt of Chippewa Falls, Wis. sisters: Nina Mayes of Defiance, Jean (Ed) Pessefall of Sherwood, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son Herman Hesselschwardt, a daughter Penny Karst, husbands: Marvin Hesselschwardt and Don Gutman, two sisters: Marilyn Mack and Theresa Speiser, three brothers: Paul Coressel, Melvin 'Bud" Coressel and Robert 'Tony' Coressel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, at St. John Catholic Church with Father Eric Mueller officiating. Visitation is 10 - 11a.m., an hour prior to services Thursday at St. John Catholic Church 510 Jackson Ave. Defiance. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to the Herman Hesselschwardt Detachment of the Marine Corp League.
