Georgia A Lynn, 94, of Defiance, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her residence Saturday afternoon, March 30, 2013.

She was born March 7, 1919 in Burksville, Kentucky and was the daughter of Benjamin and Dursilla (Rush) Simpson.

On October 18, 1941 she married Kenneth M Lynn Sr. and he preceded her in death on May 26, 1979.

Georgia is survived by three sons; Kenneth M (Linda) Lynn Jr. of Longwood, FL, Daryl (Mary) Lynn of Stryker, Jerry (Sharon) Lynn of Defiance, daughter-in-law Connie Lynn of Defiance,  10 Grandchlildren; Kim (Tom) Osment, Debra (Wayne) Burdick, Lisa DeCello, Lori (Eric) Francis, Jeffery (Mary) Lynn, Ryan (Shauna) Lynn, Derek Lynn, Sean (Leslie) Lynn, Stephanie Lynn (fiancee' Adam Schweigert) and Michael Lynn, 11 Great Grandchildren and a brother William Talbott Simpson of Lexington, KY.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth, a son Larry Lynn, a great granddaughter Charlotte, four brothers; Rev. C.W., Roy, Ernest & Albert Simpson and two sisters; Thelma Hood and Martha Thrasher.

Georgia moved to the area in 1954 was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Defiance with the Ruth Circle, progress Sunday school class and W.S.W.S.. She was also a member of the UAW #211 and the Eastern Star. Grandma Georgia enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting and sewing.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 12 noon in the Schaffer Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Graves officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home starting at 11AM.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
