George Allen Vogel, 53, of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on August 1, 1964 to George and Lauretta (Rupright) Vogel in Defiance. George was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Defiance. He was a  graduate of Ayersville High School. George worked as a mechanic at Zachrich Trucking, and at DMP in Defiance. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing.

He will be missed by several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many good friends he had through the years. George was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 9-11 am on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Rev. David Brobston officiating.
