George H. Taylor George H. Taylor, 83, of Defiance, passed away Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Pikeville, Ky. on December 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Andrew and Ocie (Skeens) Taylor. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was the husband of Shirley (Smith) Taylor. George had worked at the Campbell Soup Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1997. Surviving are his wife of 53 years Shirley, sons: Larry Taylor, Jimmy (Marsha) Taylor of Napoleon, sisters: Betty (Verlin) McCoy of Freeburn, KY, Della Taylor of Scottsville, KY brothers: Harold Taylor of Louisa, KY, Paul (Kathi) Taylor of Morenci, MI and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Waldon, Jerry and Andy Taylor, sisters: Stella Stump, Zella Hackney, Pricie Sloan and Jettie Roberson. Private graveside services will be at 12:00 noon Friday, April 22, at Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Shepherd and Rev. Harold Driver.
