Obituary

George L. Gibler George L. Gibler, 69, of Alvordton and formerly of Napoleon, passed away Wednesday, September 4th, 2013 at Flower Hospital, Sylvania. Ohio. He was born in Napoleon, Ohio on July 6, 1944, he was the son of the late George and Virginia (Riebesehl) Gibler. George had worked as a semi truck driver and was a member of the Napoleon AMVETS. Surviving are his daughter: Leslie Gibler of Elkhart, Indiana, Half Sisters: Linda Johnson of Defiance, Mary McKenzie of Defiance, Doris (Tom) Drummer of Wauseon Half Brothers: Harold (Carol) Wagner of Napoleon, Lewis (Sandy) Gibler. 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his dog Angel. He was preceded in death by a half sister Shirley Gibler, a half brother Dave Whitmore and his parents. Services at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7th, with Rev. Janet Strickland officiating. Friends are invited to call Friday 4-8 and Saturday 9-11 before services. Burial will be in Evansport Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to the Heart Association, Diabetes Association or the family.
