Gene Alan Seiple, 69, of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on February 24, 1953 to the late Gail and Thelma (Egler) Seiple in Defiance, Ohio. He graduated from Defiance High School, and earned his Associates Degree from The Academy of Art in Chicago, IL. Gene worked as a free-lance artist and in the retail business. He was a devoted son who cared for his parents in their later years. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening and reading. Gene is survived by his sister, Judy (Stanley) Bush, his nieces, Jennifer (Thomas) Dareneau and Amanda (Jason) Neiss, and his great-nieces and nephews, Sutton and Neve Dareneau and Coraline and Grant Neiss, all of Reading, PA. A private funeral service was held for his family at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Burial took place at Riverview Memory Gardens. Memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Hospice.
