Gayle Baker Gayle E. (Bake) Baker, 64, of Defiance, passed away Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in Mansfield, Oh on October 30, 1945, he was the son of the late Hugh and Frieda (Atkinson) Baker He married Jan Salyers on April 25, 1964 and she survives. Bake was the retired owner and operator of American Eagle Express. He was a past member of the Defiance Optimist, Eagles and Elks. Besides his wife Jan, surviving are Daughter: Lori Nash of Defiance. Sons: Vince (Heather) Baker of Defiance and Tony (Sheri) Baker of Defiance. Sister: Marcia Schvinski of Mansfield, Oh Brother: Marion (Sally) Snow of Perrysville, Oh He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Makayla, Brianna, Meredith, Abigayle, Logan and Stephen Baker. Preceded in death by four sisters: Peggy Stumpf, Rita Baker, Janice Patterson and Alice Crist, a brother: Donald Snow and brother in law: Richard Schvinski. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 4:00 P:M on Saturday, February 6th, with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Friends are invited to call Saturday 12-4 at Lawson-Roessner.
