Garnet M. McCoy Garnet M. McCoy, 87, of Defiance, passed away Tuesday, March 19th, 2019 at her son's home. She was born in Garret, IN on September 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Zuber) Worden. She was a Hicksville High School graduate and lived in Defiance since 1950. She retired from the Campbell Soup Co. in 1993. She was the widow of Jay "Don" McCoy and Robert Miller. Surviving are daughters: Linda Detray of Defiance, Jeanne (Don) Hartzel of Hamilton, IN, LaDonna Verfaillie of Paulding, Patricia Anderson of Defiance, son: Jim (Denise) McCoy of Continental, brother: Calvin Worden of Hicksville She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren. Garnet was preceded in death by husbands: Robert Miller and Jay "Don" McCoy, two granddaughters died in infancy and a great grandson. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 22nd, with Rev. Chris Baker officiating. Visitation is Thursday 2-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
