Frank Raymond  Westfall, 71, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Community Hospital in Bryan, Ohio. He was born on December 12, 1943 to Frank and Lois (Gecowets) Westfall in Payne, Ohio. On February 6, 1963 he married Patty Lou (Bertwell) Westfall, who proceeded him in death on August 4, 2003. Frank worked at General Motors in Defiance for 28 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Eagles of Bryan, Ohio, Post #2233, Eagles of Defiance Post #372, AmVets Post #1991, the Defiance Moose Post #2094, and a life member of the VFW Post #3360. He loved country music, singing and playing his guitar, and he enjoyed playing golf. Frank is survived by his son, Kelly Westfall, and daughter, Kandy Hostettler, both of Defiance, 3 grandchildren, Ryan Westfall, Brandi Replogle, and Brandon Addington, 5 great-grandchildren, and sister, Nancy (Carl) Williams of Oakwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lois Westfall, wife, Patty Lou Westfall, daughter in infancy, Karen Westfall, brothers, Guy Westfall and Larry Westfall, and sister, Helen Partee. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with an AmVets Service at 6:30 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the funeral home, with Fr. Eric Mueller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
