Frank H. Trevino, 93, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 1, 1925 to Cruz and Concepcion (Hernandez) Trevino in Ennis, Texas. Frank was married to Julia Ramon who preceded him in death on December10, 2018 and was an active member of St. John Catholic Church.   Frank was an Army veteran of World War II.  Frank worked for GM Powertrain in Defiance for 32 years retiring in 1985.  After his retirement from GM Frank and Julia owed and operated Trevino's Restaurant in Defiance. Frank is survived by his devoted children, daughters, Rosie (Tim) Peter, and Helen Mast, sons, Jerry (Theresa) Torres, Frank (Elida) Trevino, Jr., and Fred (Dalia) Trevino, 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Julia Trevino, three sisters, two brothers, and one son-in-law. Visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. Jacob Gordon officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be accorded by VFW Post #3360. Memorials are suggested to St. John Catholic Church .
