Frances V. McCarley Frances V. McCarley, 73, of Defiance, died Saturday, December 12th, 2009 at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Hamtramk, Michigan on April 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Margie (Perry) Zehner. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1954 graduate of Defiance High School. Frances married R. V. McCarley June 29, 1957 and he died Jan. 13, 1992. She retired from Service Master of Defiance and had also worked at Dinner Bell. Surviving are a nephew Ted Zehner of Defiance, great nephews Eric (Amanda) Zehner of Defiance and Robert and Nathan Zehner of Idaho. Great great nephew Jamison Zehner and great great niece Bethany Zehner both of Defiance. Niece Shelia (Charles) Zehner Fockler of Defiance, great nephew Samuel Fockler and great niece Chelsea Fockler of Defiance. Five sister in laws Shirley Hicks of Ney, Norma Mack of Bryan, Marie Ward, Reba Simmons and Joann Kelly all of Tupelo, Miss. and McCarley nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother James Zehner and a great niece Angela Fockler. Services will be 11:00 A:M Wednesday, Dec. 16 in the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, Ohio 43512. Visitation will be from 2-9 Tuesday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Defiance. Suggested memorials are to the donor's choice.
