Frances J. Mack, age 92 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at The Laurels of Defiance. She was born on July 14, 1931 to Joseph and Ruth (Kleinhen) Delarber in Noble Township, Ohio. On November 28, 1953 she married Lyle Mack, who preceded her in death in 2001. Frances was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She treasured her time spent with her family. She enjoyed flower gardening, being outdoors, and gambling. Frances was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family. Frances is survived by her children, Art (Marcia) Mack and Donna Mack, her granddaughter Amber Mack, four great-grandchildren, and her brother, Larry Delarber, all of Defiance. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary, Margaret, Anna, Virginia, Gertrude and Madonna, and her brothers, Daniel, Bob and Paul. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January, 30, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
