Frances Anne Arvay, 81, of Defiance, OH, passed away peacefully, Saturday May 20th, 2017 at Parkview Hospital, Hospice Care Unit, Ft. Wayne, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born in Fremont, Ohio on October 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Robert P. and Bessie (Coffman) Hershey. She was preceeded in death by her brother, Bob and is survived by brother Jim and sisters, Teresa, Pat and Judy. Frances was a 1953 graduate of Fremont St. Joseph High School and a 1956 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was passionate about caring for others throughout her life, nursing and nurturing many. She enjoyed reading and gardening but most special to her was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. On January 15, 1957 she married Robert J. Arvay, who survives, as well as their fur baby "Peaches". Also, surviving are sons; Jeff (Heidi) Arvay, Chris (Janice) Arvay, and daughter Laurie (Tom) Roth, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
