Florene M Krumel age 98 died peacefully on Saturday June 16, 2018 at the Rosary Care Center, Sylvania, Ohio. She was born on May 5, 1920 in Putnam County Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Frances (Young) Forney. In 1943 she married Charles Johnson who was killed in action on January 24, 1945 in France, during World War II. On May 17, 1948 she married Earl Krumel and he survives. Florene was a Registered Nurse and had worked at the Defiance Clinic from 1963 until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio. In addition to being survived by her husband Earl she is also survived by two Sons John Krumel - Nashville, Tennessee and Joseph (Glola) Krumel - Hermitage, Tennessee A Daughter Charlene (Dr. Richard) Powers- Sebastopol, California 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Forney. Friends may call at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 - 8:00PM and also at the Church on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday June, 20, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio. Father Randy Giesige will officiate.
