Eula J. Horne Eula J. Horne, 82, of rural Defiance, passed away Monday, October 12th, 2009 at Community Hospitals of Williams County, Bryan. She was born in Spencerville, Indiana, on January 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Izetta (McNabb) Chaney. She married Harry Horne on Feb. 26, 1955 and he died July 6, 1991. She retired in 1992 from the Gendron Co. in Archbold. Then she worked at Rite Aid about 12 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia, the 55 plus club and the Stryker Senior Center. Surviving are Daughter: Marsha (Randy) Buehrer of Stryker Son: Eddie Horne of Defiance Sister: Eleanor McMaken of Harlan, Ind. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Angela Riegsecker, Alicia Moline-Buehrer, Chad Horne and Heather Horne. Two great grandchildren survive. Preceded in death by sisters; Margaret Chaney and Phyllis Blosser and a brother Roy Chaney Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Michael's Catholic Church, at 11:00 A:M on Thursday, October 15th. Friends are invited to call Wednesday 3-8 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, Ohio. Entombment will be in Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family suggests memorials to the Stryker Senior Center or the Donor's Choice.
