Eugene R Richmond, 46, of Montpelier, passed away on  Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Community Hospitals and Wellness Center, Bryan.

He was born on August 4, 1967 to Charles and Elizabeth (McDaniel) Richmond in Oak Hill, OH.  On May 17, 1997 he married Hope A. (Lang) Richmond.

He was a cook for several area restaurants including The Kettenring Club and Shaker's in Defiance and Timber's in Indiana. Eugene loved to fish and hunt.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and  enjoyed watching cooking shows, especially Hell's Kitchen.  Eugene also enjoyed his K-9 companion, Boris..

He is survived by his wife, Hope, son Phillip Richmond at home, parents Charles & Elizabeth Richmond of Defiance, grandmother, Gertie McCain, sister, Rossi (Paul) Spry of Jackson, OH, half-brother, William (Amanda) Elliott of Jackson, OH, birth mother, Judi Elliott of Defiance, niece & nephew, Shailyn & Ross Spry of Jackson, OH, many aunts, uncles and cousins,  good friend, Ryan Shaw of Montpelier,  and best friend, Kim Mayer of FL,

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Peggy Lee Richmond, grandparents, Fred & Peggy McDaniel, Bill Richmond, and special cousin, Richie McDaniel.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
