Esther M Hofacker, 71, of Defiance, passed away on  Friday, August 29, 2014 at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on November 25, 1942 to Rudy F. and Irene I. (Froelich) Relue in Defiance.

Esther was employed with General Motors from 1978 - 2007.  She loved spending time with and caring for her family.  Esther was also an animal lover..

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Walter) Cooper of Bryan, son, Ricky Hofacker of Napoleon, grandchildren, Courtney Cooper of Bryan,  Kellie (Troy) Secrest of Toledo, brothers, Rudy Relue of Napoleon and  Larry Relue of Continental.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Troy Hofacker.

A private graveside service was held on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.  Pastor Eric Peltz officiated.

Memorials are suggested to the Defiance County Humane Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
