Esther M. Reimund, 93 of Defiance, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025.

She was born on October 3, 1932 in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of Lester and Alta Ankney. In 1951 she married Donald G. Reimund who preceded her in death.

Esther worked for Krutsch Cleaners, Davis Cleaners, Zellers, and Tip Top, where she met her best friend Mary Frost. In 1979 she opened "The Cabbage Patch" Restaurant. After retirement she worked at Nancy's Restaurant, doing prep and baking pies.

She is survived by her daughter Fern and her "adopted kids" Penny, Kenny and Nancy, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Rev. David Brobston officiating.

Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
