Estevan Garcia Jr., age 76 of Defiance, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday morning, April 21, 2026.

He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 22, 1949 to the late Estevan Sr. and Hortencia (Fernandez) Garcia. Estevan is a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and served from 1967 to 1970 during the Vietnam War. He worked at General Motors for several years until his retirement. He loved riding his Harley and spending time with his family. Estevan will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends.

Estevan is survived by his loving children, Eva (Bear) Garcia of Atlanta, GA, Adam (Miranda) Garcia of Fayetteville, GA, Leah Garcia of Ft. Wayne, IN, Chelo (Yvonne) Garcia of Atlanta, GA, Stephanie (Josh) Garcia of Roanoke, IN, and Stevie (Danielle) Gomez of Louisville, OH. He also leaves behind his "Ride or Die" Sylvia "Chevo" Garcia, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his sisters, Mary H. Torrez of Bowling Green, OH and Santos M. Villarreal of Defiance, and his brothers, Reynaldo (Rosie) Garcia of Defiance and Andres (Nina) Garcia of Anthem, AZ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Esperanza "Hope" Garcia, brother, Adam Garcia, and grandson, Baby Garry.

Services will be held at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
