Obituary

Emmagene "Jean"  Blosser, 81, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, August 20, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital, Toledo, OH.

She was born on February 23, 1931 to John and Maude (Holben) Wendorf at home in Homer, MI. On April 25, 1953 she married Philip L. Blosser and he passed away on November 12, 1999.  Jean is survived by a son, Craig Blosser of Defiance, OH, adaughter, Pamela Blosser of Atlanta, GA, grandsons, Ian Blosser of Defiance, OH,  Sean Grillet of Atlanta, GA, a sister, Maxine Sebring of Hillsdale, MI, and a  brother, Dale Wendorf of Charlotte, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Philip L. Blosser, brothers, Donald Wendorf, Ronald Wendorf, & Rex in childhood, and sisters, Viola Belote and Geraldine Wrozek.

Jean was a Claims Supervisor for the State of Ohio Job & Family Services agency for 43 years. She was a member of the Business & Professional Women's Club of America, and the American Legion. She enjoyed traveling with her husband  in their motor home and raising 6 mini-schnauzers. She spent the last 15 summers at Angel Cove Campground in Coldwater, MI. She also enjoyed scrap-booking and Needlepoint.


Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Hardey officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
