Elva I. Martinez Elva I. Martinez, 77, of Defiance, passed away Sunday evening, November 13th, 2016 at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne. She was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on December 31, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Inosenio and Ramona (Corea) Rosado. Elva moved from Puerto Rico in 1962. She married Maximo Martinez on Dec. 18, 1966 in St. John Catholic Church, Defiance. He died in 2013. She was a homemaker. Elva will be missed by her daughters: Nilda (Carlos) Quintero of Defiance, Maritza Martinez of Defiance sons: Roberto (Monica) Martinez of Defiance, Daniel Martinez of Defiance She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Maximo and her parents. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, Oh. with Rev. Vince Cantu officiating. Visitation is Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
