Elizabeth "Betty" L. Shoup, 83, of Defiance, passed away on  March 13, 2015 at her residence in Defiance, OH.

She was born on November 10, 1931 to Stephen  and Anna (Knotek) Cajka in Defiance, OH. In 1950 she married Lloyd "Bud" Shoup, and he preceded her in death in 2010.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance.

Among Betty's survivors include sons, Randy Shoup of Defiance, OH, Michael (Marilyn) Shoup of Defiance, OH, and Thomas Shoup of Defiance, OH, daughters, Penny Cryer of Defiance, OH, Linda (Joe) Hofffman of Rose Lake, MI, and Billie Jo (Steve) Ward of Napoleon, OH, 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd "Bud" L. Shoup, parents, son, Steve Shoup, daughter, Christine Ann Shoup, sisters, Agnes  Geiger, Anna Micka, and Mary Gustwiller, and a brother, Joseph Cajka.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2015, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with a vigil service at 2:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
