Elizabeth S. Mansfield, 84, of Oakwood, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Arbors At Stow in Stow, Ohio.

She was born on October 24, 1932 to Frank and Emmaline (Smith) Fox in Toledo, Ohio. In 1951 she married Carl Edward Mansfield, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Elizabeth was a former member of the Paulding Grange, Rose Hill Church of God in Paulding, and attended Stow Presbyterian Church.

Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her daughters, Barbara Rees of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Cynthia (David) Duniver of Stow, Ohio, sons, Frank (Linda) Mansfield of Astoria, Oregon, Richard  (Annette) Mansfield of Covington, Georgia, and Walter Mansfield of Oakwood, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and brother, Robert Fox of Laguna Beach, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl E. Mansfield, brothers, William Fox and Frank Fox, Jr., sisters, Lucille Hertzch, Dorothy Haslinger, Helen Scott, and Emma Jane Ellinwood.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral  Home, with Pastor Ronald Hofacker officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.  A memorial service will also be held on April 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Stow Presbyterian Church.
