Elaine F. (Boyd) Young's Obituary
Elaine F Young, 87, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born on July 2, 1925 to Charles and Gertrude (Keesbury) Boyd in Defiance. On January 2, 1946 she married William S. Young and he passed away on November 1, 1976.
Elaine was a member of Defiance Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Veria (Jim) Kennedy-Frank of West Unity, OH, sons, Eugene (Judy) Young of Defiance, James (Jenna) Young of Belmore, OH, 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William, granddaughter, Angela M Mueller, brothers, Dalton, Kenneth & Donald Boyd, sisters, Vera Phillips and Gladys Clemens.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with Pastor Jim Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
The family suggest memorials be made to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center or to the Toledo Hospital Burn Unit.
